The aim of this module is to give an overview of the basic
principles of electrical measurements.First of all, the module starts witha description of the
purpouses of measuring and the basic definition for all the measures. An overview over the international metric system and the
conpcept of errors, uncertanity and accuracy. Then the attention is on the measurement techniques:
eletromechanical instruments and digital measuring. Then the focus is about the
sensors for measuring voltage and current, the Cts and Vts.
The final part of the course the focus is on the
digital communication for integrating the measurements coming from the field
into the protection system and into the control system.
